Quick start
Download the official DMG, open it, drag MarkEdit into Applications, and follow normal macOS security prompts.
Open manuscripts without setting up a large workspace, with native macOS integration and optional extensions suitable for blog and tutorial authors. Preview and richer editing may require extensions. Basic editing is free and does not require an API; optional AI integration may incur separate charges.
